Legal, Risk & Compliance - Investigations & Forensic Senior Consultant

Location: Hybrid role based in Houston, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, or Tampa, with work in local offices and on client sites. Local or out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $88,000–$132,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $96,800–$145,200.

What you will do

• Lead defined workstreams across fraud, investigations, regulatory enforcement, e-discovery, litigation support, and forensic matters.
• Plan investigations, conduct fact-finding and interviews, gather evidence, and review financial transactions and electronic information.
• Apply forensic accounting, data analytics, e-discovery methods, and digital tools to trace funds, identify discrepancies, and develop cases.
• Prepare chronologies, workpapers, reports, exhibits, and client-ready presentations communicating clear findings.
• Manage timelines, scope, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverable quality while coordinating with clients, counsel, accountants, technology professionals, and consultants.
• Review work products and coach Consultants and Interns on investigative methods and technical analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in forensic accounting, investigations, fraud review, regulatory matters, e-discovery, litigation support, compliance, or related professional services.
• Experience owning substantial portions of investigative or forensic workstreams under engagement leadership.
• Experience with project planning, deliverable tracking, budget or workstream economics, data analytics, evidence gathering, and digital investigative tools.
• Strong analytical, written, oral communication, client presentation, and team coaching skills.
• Ability to evaluate complex information and produce clear, supportable findings.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFE, CFF, ACEDS, Relativity, or another relevant certification.
• Prior consulting, accounting, legal, regulatory, or professional-services experience.
• Education in accounting, analytics, data science, business, computer science, cybersecurity, economics, engineering, finance, criminal justice, or a related field.
