Manager, Compliance Risk Adjustment

Location: Remote from anywhere in the Continental United States

Salary: $87,700–$157,800 per year

What you will do

• Manage external risk adjustment audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate audit deliverables, timelines, inquiries, and submissions to state and federal regulators.
• Review audit deliverables for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Identify and communicate compliance risks, support corrective action plans, and maintain detailed audit documentation.
• Prepare reports on audit performance and progress for stakeholders.
• Support risk adjustment strategy, operational analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Audit, Compliance, Legal, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in audit, risk adjustment, and/or compliance.
• Experience managing external audits and regulatory deliverables.
• Knowledge of risk adjustment compliance processes and regulatory requirements.
• Previous risk adjustment oversight, coding planning, regulatory audit, and Medicare experience are preferred.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC coding credential is preferred; CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, or a risk adjustment credential is also preferred.

• Experience with risk adjustment oversight or coding planning.
• Understanding of the risk adjustment regulatory landscape.
• Risk adjustment regulatory audit experience.
• Medicare experience.
