Accounts Receivable Escalations Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; must reside within commutable distance of the office

Salary: CAD 56,000–62,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits; overtime eligible

What you will do

• Prepare demand letters, termination letters, final collection notices, account breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
• Investigate customer scenarios, billing issues, disputes, deductions, unapplied payments, credits, and overdue balances.
• Communicate with customers and internal partners about collections issues, invoicing, payment inquiries, and recovery actions.
• Reconcile accounts, maintain accurate customer files, and report escalation status to management.
• Support payment plans, pre-authorized payments, conference calls, and collection activities for assigned portfolios.
• Assist with onboarding new team members and complete ad hoc tasks supporting the AR Escalations and AR Digital teams.

Requirements

• Prior experience in finance; accounts receivable experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in account reconciliations and monetary transactions.
• Diplomatic communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills for late-payment discussions.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional internal stakeholders.
• Analytical, planning, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
