Cloud Operations Engineer (Azure)

Location: Home-based remote role in the United States; Oak Brook, Illinois. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: $75,700–$92,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer and support enterprise Azure infrastructure, cloud services, networking, identity, and access management.
• Monitor platform health, investigate alerts and service degradation, and respond to production incidents.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, identity, and application-layer issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support Infrastructure as Code deployments, automation initiatives, backup validation, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
• Maintain operational runbooks and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Development, Security, and Client Service teams and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience and hands-on Azure administration in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or similar monitoring platforms.
• Experience supporting AKS/Kubernetes environments and containerized workloads.
• Strong systems administration experience across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; AZ-900 certification is preferred.
