TL;DR
Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure): Building and operating secure, scalable enterprise Azure infrastructure with an accent on Terraform-driven Infrastructure as Code, automation, networking, and cloud security. Focus on designing AKS platforms, resilient multi-region architectures, automated CI/CD workflows, advanced firewall integration, and cost and reliability optimization.
Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do
- Design, build, and operate scalable and secure Azure infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS, AKS, networking, and identity.
- Develop Terraform modules, reusable infrastructure frameworks, and automated deployment pipelines under a no-manual-deployment policy.
- Build automation with PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Azure CLI, and optimize CI/CD workflows across build, deployment, security, and compliance.
- Implement enterprise networking and security architectures, including Hub-Spoke, VNet peering, Private Endpoints, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, WAF, and zero-trust controls.
- Manage AKS and container platforms, observability, performance, cost, and reliability optimization.
- Lead cloud migrations and integrations with on-premises systems while maintaining governance, documentation, runbooks, and audit readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 8+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud engineering experience with hands-on enterprise Azure engineering.
- Advanced Azure expertise across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security, with strong AKS and container experience.
- Expert-level Terraform experience is mandatory.
- Strong PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting skills, plus CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Git-based workflows.
- Palo Alto firewall integration is required. Experience with cloud security architecture, IAM, compliance, and governance frameworks is also required.
Nice to have
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Network Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
- Experience with ARM or Bicep.
