Product Owner (SaaS)

Location: Remote, United States; up to 25% travel for client visits, conferences, and networking.

What you will do

• Translate prioritized product initiatives and epics into functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring items are prioritized, clearly defined, and ready for development.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and Quality to clarify requirements and support implementation.
• Lead or facilitate backlog refinement and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain accurate product documentation and support acceptance testing, release readiness, and delivery quality.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and ambiguities that may affect delivery timelines or solution quality.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in product, business analysis, delivery, or technical roles in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Experience with agile development teams and Scrum or similar iterative delivery frameworks.
• Ability to translate business or product requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with JIRA or similar backlog management tools.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States and verify work eligibility.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, QA Analyst, or in a similar delivery-focused role.
• Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software products.
• Experience in regulated or complex environments such as life sciences, healthcare, financial services, or enterprise SaaS.
• Exposure to API-based systems, integrations, or platform-oriented products.
• Experience with documentation, testing support, or release readiness activities.
