Salary: $100,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide onsite technical, analytical, programmatic, and administrative support to DARPA's Multi X Office.
• Support a DARPA program manager with project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, and program-funded test coordination.
• Coordinate with Department of Defense stakeholders on program transition activities.
• Coordinate meetings, assess performer technical progress, and project performer outcomes.
• Ensure project management best practices are followed by performers, independent verification and validation entities, and DARPA.
• Develop point papers, slide decks, and other materials while researching emerging technologies and national security problem areas.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum DoD Secret clearance.
• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new subjects quickly and develop insights into current and next-generation research topics.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary research programs at the performer level is preferred.

• Experience managing programs through their full life cycles.
• Technical research, development, and engineering experience across applied technical projects.
• Familiarity with the DARPA technical, programmatic, and contractual environment.
• Ability to lead and support teams in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
