Facilities Maintenance Technician - 4th Shift (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Stafford, CT, United States; onsite, 4th shift. The role requires 9–10 hour workdays, regular standing, overtime, weekend, on-call, and occasional travel by car or plane.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, production equipment, grounds, and building systems.
• Complete carpentry, framing, remodeling, painting, drywall, roofing, window, and construction-finishing projects.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, irrigation, and general mechanical repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and document completed work through electronic work orders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party vendors while communicating work status across shifts.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures, including chemical handling and PPE requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven carpentry and framing experience in commercial or industrial building maintenance; approximately 2 years of facility maintenance equipment experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of general maintenance practices and safe use of manual and power tools, with experience in relevant trades such as electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, or welding.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs., stand for most of the shift, read technical instructions and diagrams, and use computer systems for work orders and email.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, regular attendance, and availability for overtime, weekends, and on-call work are required.

Nice to have

• Floor work experience, journeyman status, or relevant trade licensing.
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, P&IDs, technical as-built drawings, or troubleshooting electromagnetic equipment.
