Senior Maintenance Tech

Location: Desoto, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week; 3rd shift

What you will do

• Perform carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, HVAC, and other facility repairs using hand and power tools.
• Operate and maintain air compressors, dryers, wet and dry fire systems, cooling towers, overhead doors, and other facility systems.
• Provide emergency repairs for production equipment and perform preventive maintenance on facility and production systems.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex electrical and mechanical problems and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Support continuous improvement, space planning, and capital projects while coordinating with vendors, consultants, customers, and internal teams.
• Document maintenance activities, complete work orders, participate in training, and follow safety, quality, regulatory, purchasing, and cost-control standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of lift equipment, forklifts, material handling equipment, air compressors, dryers, fire systems, and cooling towers.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Ability to climb above the shop floor or use a man-lift to perform repairs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week on the 3rd shift in Desoto, Texas.

Nice to have

• Expertise in plumbing, electrical systems, construction, HVAC, or building infrastructure maintenance.
• Knowledge of building codes, electrical systems, welding, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, lubrication, equipment alignment, and advanced mechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and building drawings and schematics.
• Experience sourcing supplies and equipment and using computerized maintenance management software.
