Maintenance Technician - Facilities (HVACR)

Location: Natchitoches, Louisiana, United States; on-site, night shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM

What you will do

• Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain facility equipment and utility systems, including electrical service, wiring, switchgear, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and air compressors.
• Use facilities drawings and electrical and plumbing schematics to identify problems, order parts, and complete repairs.
• Repair electrical components, programmable controllers, water, steam, and pneumatic systems, including gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, boiler chemical treatment, and physical structure repairs.
• Coordinate equipment modifications with engineering supervision and implement improvements that reduce recurring failures and maintenance costs.
• Respond as a trained first responder to medical emergencies and chemical spills.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field and two years of facilities or plant maintenance experience, or at least five years of maintenance experience in a facilities or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of utility, boiler, HVAC, and air compressor systems and applicable codes.
• Ability to work on-site during the 9:00 PM–5:30 AM shift and perform physically demanding work, including standing, climbing, crawling, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Ability to operate cutting torches or welding equipment and work with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
