Principal Program Manager (Radar/Defense)

Location: Onsite in East Syracuse, New York, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and domestic and international travel of up to 10–15% annually is expected.

Compensation: $165,700–$223,800 per year.

What you will do

• Lead assigned program portfolios and own cost, schedule, technical performance, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
• Establish program strategies, budgets, execution plans, performance metrics, and EVMS reporting.
• Direct multidisciplinary radar and Air Traffic Management programs across design, development, manufacturing, integration, installation, deployment, modernization, and sustainment.
• Drive business growth and capture strategies across defense, civil aviation, commercial radar, and Air Traffic Management markets.
• Build strategic relationships with the FAA, international air service organizations, aviation customers, and major industry primes.
• Oversee requirements, risk, integration, operational readiness, site acceptance, regulatory compliance, infrastructure, construction, facilities, utilities, and subcontractor execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in surveillance systems, radar, civil aviation, and FAA capability production programs or project management.
• Experience with risk and opportunity management, product production transfers, surveillance defense programs, and federal contracting processes including EVMS, FAR, OTAs, and related frameworks.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance; TS/SCI is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and work onsite in East Syracuse, New York.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, business acumen, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with direct commercial and Foreign Military Sales.
• Experience supporting civil aviation, FAA programs, international air service organizations, and civil infrastructure or construction activities.
• Master’s degree or MBA and TS/SCI clearance.
