Workflow Automation Engineer (CRM)

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional onsite meetings at the client site in Washington, DC. Foreign work locations and personal VPN connections are prohibited.

Salary: $74,090–$125,954 annually.

What you will do

• Configure and improve CRM integrations, intake workflows, routing logic, customer status visibility, dashboards, and lifecycle data flows.
• Translate service designs and product requirements into working CRM and workflow capabilities.
• Integrate workflow changes with downstream provisioning and support processes.
• Coordinate with Platform Engineering, Security, QA, Product Operations, and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Document requirements, decisions, risks, workflow designs, and delivery evidence.
• Support continuous process improvement and operational traceability.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and current U.S. residence are required.
• All work must be performed in the United States, and candidates must have lived in the U.S. for three full years out of the last five.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, systems analysis, computer science, business information systems, workflow automation, business analytics, or a related field; a high school diploma plus four additional years of relevant experience may substitute.
• At least six years of relevant experience designing and implementing workflow automation, routing logic, approval processes, intake forms, customer lifecycle workflows, and operational improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders in Agile, cross-functional delivery teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar CRM and service management platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Logic Apps, MuleSoft, ServiceNow Flow Designer, Azure Integration Services, or comparable tools.
• Experience with APIs, identity management, workflow engines, connectors, dashboards, SLA tracking, and customer experience reporting.
• Experience in federal government, healthcare, or other regulated environments.
• Experience with auditability, access controls, records management, compliance, and process mapping.
