Director of Finance

Location: Chicago, IL, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday

Salary: $150,171.61–$181,034.70 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive program

What you will do

• Act as the primary finance partner to the Vice Presidents of Expansion and Partnerships.
• Evaluate new markets, campus expansion initiatives, healthcare employer partnerships, workforce investments, and capital allocation decisions.
• Build financial models, business cases, ROI analyses, break-even analyses, and executive recommendations.
• Lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
• Prepare P&L, KPI, management, executive, and board reporting packages.
• Improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics through standardization, automation, data-quality improvements, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, consulting, transaction advisory, corporate development, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, business case development, and performance analysis.
• Experience evaluating growth investments, expansion opportunities, partnerships, strategic initiatives, or capital allocation decisions.
• Ability to build sophisticated models using large datasets and modern finance technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
• Strong executive presence, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and decision-support skills.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or CMA.
• Experience in strategic growth initiatives, expansion planning, partnerships, corporate strategy, consulting, transaction advisory, or M&A analysis.
