Corporate Development Director

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $180,000–$300,000 annually, varying by location and market factors.

What you will do

• Partner with the CFO/COO and senior leaders on deal sourcing, qualification, rationale development, financial modeling, diligence, negotiation, and closing.
• Manage inbound deal flow and outbound sourcing for acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures.
• Analyze industry trends, build industry landscapes, and prepare competitive analyses for executive and board review.
• Direct diligence between internal and external parties, manage the data room, and coordinate responses to diligence requests.
• Build valuation models, forecasts, operating models, and low/base/high scenario analyses for potential acquisition targets.
• Support M&A integration periods and develop materials for executive-level decision-making.

Requirements

• 2+ years of investment banking experience, or 3+ years of corporate development and/or private equity experience.
• Expertise in financial and valuation modeling, including experience with M&A transactions ranging from acqui-hires and asset purchases to full-company acquisitions and integration.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including building and maintaining complex spreadsheets.
• Strong PowerPoint and Google Slides skills, analytical judgment, written communication, verbal communication, and presentation capabilities.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude to build automated workflows, memos, and financial models.
