Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, United States; 3 days on-site per week

Base pay: $140,000–$165,000 annually, plus stock options and variable bonuses

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, resilient backend services and APIs for cloud and hybrid environments.
• Develop and own performant, observable Golang microservices.
• Define and implement REST, gRPC, and GraphQL API contracts with frontend engineers and platform architects.
• Evolve relational, NoSQL, and streaming data systems, including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Kafka/NATS.
• Contribute to product and roadmap discussions, documentation, runbooks, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
• Improve engineering quality through observability, testing, mentoring, and shared ownership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience delivering and operating production services in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and service mesh.
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, NATS, REST/gRPC/GraphQL APIs, AWS and/or GCP, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with identity and access management, including authentication flows, authorization models, JWTs, SAML, OIDC, and multi-tenancy.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations and communicate reasoning clearly.
• Ability to work hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with 3 days on-site per week.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-powered features into production backend services.
• Familiarity with LangChain, CrewAI, MCP-enabled tooling, or Keycloak.
• Open-source contributions, especially in the Jenkins or DevOps ecosystem.
• Experience in DevSecOps, compliance engineering, or regulated enterprise environments.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
