Principal Product Designer Lead

Location: United States; remote or hybrid work available

Salary: $280,000–$310,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3–5+ senior individual-contributor designers.
• Personally own and ship design work for high-leverage and ambiguous product problems.
• Set design vision, craft direction, standards, critique practices, and operating rhythms.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leaders to align design with business priorities.
• Own hiring and team composition while the business and design organization scale.
• Represent design in cross-functional forums and connect design work to business impact.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, including experience managing and growing individual contributors.
• Strong hands-on design craft, judgment, communication, and feedback skills.
• Experience shipping high-quality design for a consumer product, creator platform, or marketplace.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain senior designers.
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leaders.
• Demonstrable use of AI for exploration, prototyping, communication, and creation.
