Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote or hybrid in the United States or Australia, with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Melbourne, and London. Flexible async collaboration across time zones is expected.

Salary: $210,000–$250,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own a core product surface or problem area from framing through shipping high-craft work.
• Set product direction and raise the quality bar beyond individual design execution.
• Apply product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping through production fidelity.
• Partner with product management, engineering, research, and design systems.
• Use AI to explore, prototype, and ship product experiences.
• Lead through influence and strengthen the craft of surrounding designers.

Requirements

• Staff-level product design scope with the ability to set direction and influence across teams.
• Strong range as a product designer with a clear area of deep expertise.
• Experience using AI as part of the design workflow and ability to advance AI-enabled design practice.
• Systems thinking and ability to create patterns that scale across surfaces and teams.
• Strong product judgment, collaboration skills, and a low-ego working style.
• Portfolio demonstrating versatile product design work and depth in a specific area.
