Manager, Engineering - Ads

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional squad of backend and iOS engineers building native ads, post-log interstitials, and sponsored in-app experiences.
• Partner with Product and Design to discover solutions using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Manage delivery by maintaining a healthy backlog, scheduling maintenance and technical debt work, and breaking work into effective increments.
• Run team ceremonies and create an engaged, empowered engineering environment.
• Coach and develop engineers while maintaining team health and supporting technical ownership.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Ad Operations, and Sales on programmatic and direct-sold advertising formats.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading mobile engineering teams in an outcome-focused product model.
• Strong foundation in A/B testing-based product iteration and learning-focused agile methods.
• Experience leading consumer-facing native app development.
• Track record of collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to plan and deliver projects.
• Experience building high-trust engineering teams through mentorship, coaching, clear goals, and decision-making frameworks.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices for high-traffic mobile applications, including scalability, quality, speed, and safety.
