Manager, Software Engineering (Identity)

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom

Base pay: £142,000–£190,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers through clear expectations, direct feedback, and career development.
• Own the technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for identity systems supporting international markets.
• Guide technical design, architecture, quality, and cross-functional alignment while empowering senior engineers.
• Own the availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call and incident response.
• Drive alignment across engineering, product, design, analytics, partner experience, and foundational teams.
• Lead large-scale redesigns and structural improvements to the identity verification journey.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing software and executing effectively through ambiguity.
• Strong technical judgment in architecture, quality, reliability, and platform decisions.
• Experience leading significant technical initiatives end-to-end, including decoupling or re-platforming consumer-facing systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational influence skills.
• Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
