Associate Technical Consultant (Data Storage)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; Atlanta, Georgia; or New York, New York, United States. Hybrid workplace with required travel for data center deployment projects and possible after-hours or weekend work based on project schedules or client needs.

What you will do

• Install, rack, stack, and cable data center hardware for enterprise performance, availability, recoverability, and scalability requirements.
• Apply basic configurations to PowerMax, PowerFlex, PowerEdge, Cisco, Pure FlashArray, FlashBlade, and related infrastructure.
• Configure and deploy SAN environments using Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switching.
• Create solution designs, implementation plans, operating procedures, and knowledge-transfer documentation.
• Support delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, escalations, post-implementation reviews, and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders to align scope, timelines, and technical outcomes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure delivery, preferably in consulting, professional services, or complex customer environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across systems, hosts, switches, and related infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration concepts, using tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
• Strong written, verbal, technical documentation, prioritization, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Chicago, Atlanta, or New York and travel for client data center engagements.

• Experience with enterprise storage platforms and data center deployments.
