Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain system architectures across applications, infrastructure, platforms, and cloud environments.
• Translate system requirements into scalable, secure engineering solutions.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with developers, DevOps, security specialists, and stakeholders.
• Support integrations across environments and platforms.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, system specifications, and other technical documentation while participating in Agile delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or related roles.
• Strong experience with system architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with infrastructure, networking, system integration, and Agile environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in the United States; a background check is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government contracts or working in regulated environments.
• Experience with migrations, Ansible, Linux, or Red Hat.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or CISSP.
