Systems Administrator 3 (On-Call) - Linux/Bash/Python/STE/STN/Docker/Kubernetes

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience

What you will do

• Support a large-scale Linux system, including installation, configuration, operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
• Install and sustain COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software across Linux cluster environments.
• Maintain compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
• Maintain system security integrity and configure network components.
• Implement operating-system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide on-call systems administration support.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Fifteen years of systems administration experience in programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or five additional years of systems administration experience as a substitute.
• Security+ certification.
• Experience with Linux CLI, Bash, Python, Red Hat Satellite, Splunk, VMware ESXi, virtualization, SaltStack, Ansible, HPE OneView, Nagios, Docker, and large-scale Linux clusters.
• Experience with STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with distributed file systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, or HDFS.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
