Senior Staff, Robotics Systems Architect (Robot Intelligence)

Location: 665 Clyde Avenue, Mountain View, California, USA; office-based position

Base pay: $203,700–$305,500 USD annually, with annual bonus eligibility and benefits.

hirify.global’s Robot Intelligence Lab develops advanced robotics technologies for manipulation, navigation, and complex reasoning in collaboration with universities, startups, government labs, and Samsung research and product teams.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end software architecture for the robot platform and guide integration across hardware and software systems.
• Define component interfaces, dependencies, repository organization, coding standards, testing, documentation, and code review practices.
• Develop and integrate Python and C++ software in ROS/ROS2-based robotics systems.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automated integration tests for simulation and physical robots.
• Maintain Docker-based development and runtime environments across x86-64 and ARM platforms.
• Improve deployment, logging, troubleshooting, and reproducible AI development workflows for robot computers, lab systems, and cloud-based training.

Requirements

• MS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 16+ years of experience conducting state-of-the-art robotics research and development.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, with experience developing and maintaining Linux-based software.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and hands-on integration with robotics hardware.
• Experience designing software components and defining clear interfaces within complex systems.
• Practical experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, troubleshooting, collaboration, and technical documentation.
