Data Engineer Consultant (AI)

What you will do

• Design and operate cloud solutions across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, access management, cost optimization, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including clusters adapted to data science workloads.
• Develop Python-based server-side tools, including bulk data processing, REST APIs, and authentication services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployment of data science projects for clients.
• Develop ETL scripts and data pipelines in big data environments.
• Implement infrastructure and services that support machine learning model development and delivery.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with a strong quantitative component, such as econometrics, physics, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in data, DevOps, cloud, or software engineering.
• Good Python skills, knowledge of another programming language, and familiarity with SQL databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with application security, including certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2, and credential management.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Dutch are required. Non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB, Terraform, GitLab CE, Kubernetes, or multiple cloud services used within the same project.
