Technical Solutions Consultant (Automotive)

Location: Remote within the United States, with up to 3 days per week onsite at a client site in Auburn Hills, Michigan; Detroit metro area

Salary: USD $110,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Partner with automotive client stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• Own solution design from discovery through project kickoff, including high-level estimates and review of detailed estimates.
• Create business and functional requirements, wireframes, Statements of Work, proposals, and other solution documentation.
• Present solution approaches to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Solution Analysts, Architects, Developers, QA, and other delivery partners.
• Identify additional client needs and mentor junior teammates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, or technical solution design.
• Direct client-facing experience working both in person and remotely.
• Ability to self-manage priorities and translate ambiguous requirements into practical, documented solutions.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, modernization, and scalability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of technical experience across software delivery, architecture, DevOps, QA, analysis, or technical consulting.
• Familiarity with generative AI and experience with automotive OEMs.
• Experience with APIs, legacy-to-cloud migration, SQL, databases, Java, or Go.
• Experience writing Statements of Work, proposals, or estimates and mentoring junior team members.
