Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace/Defense)

Location: Onsite in Hollister, California, United States, 5/40 day shift; potential travel up to 10%.

Salary: $66,900–$124,300 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, specifications, equipment requirements, and process procedures for electronics products.
• Review product drawings and designs, create work instructions, and support design reviews focused on manufacturability.
• Develop process routings, labor standards, production layouts, readiness plans, and cost estimates.
• Design tooling and fixtures and support capital equipment specification, installation, justification, and start-up.
• Conduct process audits, time studies, statistical process control, capability studies, and process hazard analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and production-cell optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least three years of manufacturing-environment experience, including at least one year of electronics experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise qualify as a U.S. Person for applicable export-control requirements.
• Ability to work onsite in a sustaining manufacturing and laboratory environment supporting aerospace and defense products.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Exposure to AS9100.
• Automation experience.
