Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Torrance, California, United States. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for ITAR compliance; certain refugees, asylees, or applicants eligible for required U.S. authorizations may also qualify. Future security clearance may be required.

Salary: $111,109–$130,275 USD per year for California-based hires.

What you will do

• Lead the development and evolution of the manufacturing execution system, including work-center architecture and product flow for testing.
• Create digital work instructions, procedures, and training materials using 3D models, images, diagrams, and text.
• Set design and manufacturing standards, drive design updates for manufacturability, and support new factories and product-line introductions.
• Evaluate and implement software automation for test stations and collaborate with test, systems, production, and engineering teams.
• Develop, demonstrate, and verify innovative production processes, resolve manufacturing defects and test non-conformances, and improve yield.
• Create KPI and operational metrics, contribute to manufacturing plans, present data to leadership, and coach manufacturing technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, software, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience, including scaling low-volume production to high volume.
• Expertise in documenting detailed assembly instructions and experience with 3D modeling design.
• Basic familiarity with manufacturing execution systems and knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels.
• Must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements through citizenship, permanent residency, qualifying refugee or asylee status, or required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on software development experience in Python or another programming language.
• Experience with RF products, electromechanical assembly, RF and power testing, aerospace, defense, or military environments.
• Knowledge of production systems, Lean Manufacturing, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, MRP, and ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.
