Supervisor, Supply Chain

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hospital-based onsite role

Salary: $72,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise Supply Distribution Center employees, including staff scheduling, assignments, time records, performance evaluations, and training.
• Oversee receiving and timely distribution of equipment, materials, packages, and supplies throughout the medical center.
• Manage returns of damaged or incorrect materials.
• Operate and maintain central stores, including replenishment and Min-Max, EOQ, JIT, and LUM supply processes.
• Oversee par-area management and hospital-wide replenishment of medical and surgical supplies.
• Support policies, procedures, issue resolution, and service quality improvements with the Supply Distribution Manager.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of applicable work experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with receiving, inventory control, and distribution processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for supervising staff and working with internal customers.
• Computer literacy and experience with materials management information systems.
• Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods and occasionally move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in receiving, inventory control, and distribution.
• Experience in a hospital loading dock or distribution center.
• Experience supervising and scheduling subordinate staff.
