Director, Sourcing & Procurement

Location: San Francisco, California, USA

Salary: $174,000–$235,000 USD base pay per year, with potential eligibility for a corporate bonus plan.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise-wide Vendor Management Office and oversee vendor relationships, supplier performance, and strategic procurement programs.
• Sponsor high-complexity RFx initiatives and negotiate commercial contracts across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and professional services.
• Lead the global Travel and Expense function and develop sourcing strategies, procurement policies, travel policies, and governance.
• Partner with Legal, Security, Finance, Technology, stakeholders, budget owners, and category teams on cross-functional procurement goals.
• Drive cost optimization, market benchmarking, price modeling, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Build and develop distributed procurement teams, manage the departmental budget, and provide executive-level reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, information systems, or a related field, with 10+ years of strategic sourcing management experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams and 10+ years in a lead or principal role.
• 10+ years of experience negotiating and redlining commercial contracts for software and hardware licenses, professional services, SaaS, cloud subscriptions, statements of work, and amendments.
• Experience leading a global Travel and Expense function and developing high-performing global teams.
• Experience with Excel-based contract price modeling, procurement software such as Coupa, NetSuite, Oracle, or JIRA, market benchmarking, and TCO analysis.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and supplier performance improvement skills.
