Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Bradenton, Florida, United States; onsite in a manufacturing or production/field environment.

Salary: $64,500–$103,500 per year

What you will do

• Champion safety, 5S, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.
• Lead cross-functional, data-driven problem solving for quality and process challenges.
• Apply 8D, Six Sigma DMAIC, SPC, FMEA, Pareto analysis, process mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, Cpk/Ppk, benchmarking, and error-proofing.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to improve capability, reduce variation, and increase throughput and consistency.
• Establish control plans, standardized processes, and sustainable controls to prevent quality issues from recurring.
• Coordinate containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, process capability studies, documentation, timelines, and resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Experience with structured problem solving, data analysis, root-cause analysis, and process improvement methods.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T symbols.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, extended standing, and physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Personal protective equipment must be worn when required.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma certification or Certified Quality Engineer certification.
• Manufacturing experience with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier in transportation, heavy-duty vehicles, automotive, or a similar industry.
• Experience supporting ISO audits, maintaining quality compliance, and addressing audit findings.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques and process improvement methodologies.
