Manufacturing Project Engineer

Location: Onsite at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI 53083, United States. First shift: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; expected work balance is 50% on the production floor and 50% in the office.

Salary: $83,300–$105,200 per year.

What you will do

• Drive production performance by improving operational efficiency, output, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, routings, systems, equipment, and material flow.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using DMAIC, PDCA, A3, and other structured problem-solving methods.
• Partner with design engineering on manufacturability, product changes, and new product launches.
• Manage capital and process improvement projects while leading cross-functional teams.
• Support root cause analysis, PFMEA, production and field quality issue resolution, and Poka Yoke implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; co-op, internship, or related experience may be considered.
• Experience influencing and implementing process changes and improvements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, logical troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects of moderate scope and complexity.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and wear PPE for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and quality systems.
• Experience analyzing test data, malfunctions, and deviations and supporting design or process corrections.
