Mid-Level/Lead Software Engineer (ServiceNow Developer) (ServiceNow)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must live within close proximity to a hub in Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona, and work both from home and in the office.

Salary: $85,500–$140,000 starting annual salary, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and user experiences.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with measurable operational impact.
• Build workflows, business rules, automations, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, release readiness, Agile delivery, and applicable CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot platform and integration issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
• Collaborate with architects, security, product, business, and engineering teams to establish scalable ServiceNow patterns and modernization practices.

Requirements

• Experience developing on ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong object-oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs; familiarity with ServiceNow GlideAPIs is beneficial.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, web technologies, workflow automation, XML, and JSON.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, communicate clearly, and collaborate with technical and business partners.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is not available.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or Certified Implementation Specialist certifications.
• Experience with ITSM, CSM, ITOM, IRM, SPM, custom applications, or ServiceNow ATF.
• Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, large enterprise environments, cloud concepts, or leading engineering efforts.
