Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Monday through Thursday onsite with colleagues; Fridays allow a choice of work location.

Annual base salary: $75,700–$156,200.

What you will do

• Design and develop commercial HVAC products that meet performance, regulatory, quality, and cost requirements.
• Evaluate technical feasibility, select robust components, and create engineering specifications.
• Complete system integration activities, layouts, design reviews, and product design changes.
• Lead engineering teams, project schedules, and technical aspects of assigned projects.
• Create laboratory test plans, analyze test data, and support product validation and quality.
• Drive product and process improvements to increase performance, reduce costs, and improve team productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical aspects of product design projects.
• Experience with validation testing and root cause analysis.
• Ability to deliver and lead technical designs that meet project and product requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory codes, including UL.
