Mechanical - Mid & Experienced Designer (HVAC)

Location: United States; positions are available at listed offices and in a remote arrangement tied to the Lenexa, Kansas location. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $83,600–$145,200 in Denver; $92,400–$119,700 in Las Vegas; $88,160–$153,120 in Los Angeles; $92,720–$161,040 in New York; $88,160–$153,120 in Washington, DC.

What you will do

• Perform calculations and design basic to advanced mechanical and HVAC engineering systems.
• Prepare mechanical layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for conformance with plans and specifications.
• Research equipment and evaluate products for specific applications, including refrigeration design needs.
• Support project coordination, client meetings, scope and schedule coordination, quality control, and project delivery.
• Assist with business development relationships and provide training or support to other team members.

Requirements

• Mid-level: 3 years of relevant experience with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 6 years without a degree.
• Experienced level: 6 years of relevant experience with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 8 years without a degree.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
• Proficiency in CAD and HVAC design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, IESVE, or Trane Trace.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employment eligibility will be verified.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering license.
• FE exam completion, LEED accreditation, or WELL accreditation.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, A&E practices, codes, design guides, and standards.
