HR Operations Analyst (Payroll & Compliance)

Location: Remote within the United States during Eastern Time business hours

What you will do

• Connect Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and HRIS to keep data, reporting, and processes aligned.
• Own federal, state, local, and Canadian provincial payroll tax registrations, monitoring, audits, and notices.
• Lead 401(k) employer match true-ups and bonus accrual tracking with Finance.
• Manage EEO reporting, workers’ compensation compliance, and payroll and finance reports.
• Improve processes and identify automation opportunities across Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, back up the payroll processor, and document processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of payroll experience with strong knowledge of multi-state and North American compliance.
• Ability to work independently, research unfamiliar issues, and propose solutions.
• Experience with an HRIS or payroll system; Dayforce is preferred but not required.
• Strong critical thinking, documentation, communication, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.
• Availability during Eastern Time business hours while working remotely in the United States.
