What you will do

• Investigate and manage claims across entertainment, personal accident, event cancellation, and potentially cyber lines from first notification to conclusion.
• Handle claims directly while overseeing and supporting third-party administrators and coverholders.
• Select, instruct, and actively manage experts including lawyers, loss adjusters, and SI investigators.
• Liaise and negotiate with clients, brokers, coverholders, and vendors by telephone and in person.
• Manage a large claims portfolio, develop commercial relationships, and maintain regular customer and broker communication.
• Work with underwriters to win and retain business, develop insurance products, and improve claims operations.

Requirements

• Passion for claims and the ability to use initiative.
• Confidence in making decisions, managing responsibility, and prioritising within authority levels.
• Comfort handling a large caseload and working through challenging situations.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and people skills.
• Drive, ambition, willingness to learn, and an inquisitive, proactive approach.
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve services and processes while working collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a claims handler or adjuster.
• Experience handling claims in at least one relevant line of business.
