Java Backend Developer

Location: Hybrid role based in the Berlin office, with at least 3 days per week in the office

hirify.global is a travel search and booking technology company operating global metasearch brands and integrating with hundreds of airlines, hotels, rental car providers, and travel partners.

What you will do

• Implement new features and maintain search and booking technology.
• Optimize search and booking logic for major global corporate clients.
• Build and maintain high-performance integrations with airline, hotel, and rental car APIs.
• Own designs from initial concept through deployment while maintaining code quality and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural steering to keep the K4B project modular and reusable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Strong English communication skills and availability to work from the Berlin office at least 3 days per week.
• Ability to design and implement engineering initiatives with minimal guidance.

Nice to have

• Travel-domain experience, including airline distribution, GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport, NDC, and booking or reservation systems.
• Experience with B2B systems or identity and HR integrations, including SCIM, SAML/OAuth, SSO, user provisioning, Workday, Okta, or Active Directory.
