Database Developer / DBA (Germany) (Oracle/PostgreSQL)

Location: Germany; remote, onsite, and hybrid work options are available.

Salary: €4,100–€6,475 gross per month. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve database schemas for a regulatory software platform.
• Monitor and optimize database performance.
• Plan and execute database and data migrations, including go-live migrations and potential Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration.
• Support platform, system, and database updates.
• Manage database backup, recovery, and Transparent Data Encryption processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle database development and administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Spatial, and Oracle XE.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and database schema design.
• Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, TDE, and database security practices.
• English at Intermediate+ level and German at Upper-Intermediate+ level are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle-to-PostgreSQL database migrations.
• Experience working with GIS and spatial data, preferably in public sector applications.
