Tech Lead CoreMedia

Location: Remote or hybrid, based in Germany, Portugal or France, with onsite work at the client site in Paris La Défense for a minimum of three consecutive days every month.

What you will do

• Lead the CoreMedia squad and act as the main technical contact for client architects, product owners and stakeholders.
• Define scalable, secure and maintainable CoreMedia Content Cloud architectures covering Studio, CAE, Headless Server and Content Delivery APIs.
• Remain hands-on with custom content types, Studio extensions, Blueprint customisation, templates and Spring-based backend components.
• Integrate CoreMedia with e-commerce, PIM, DAM, search, personalisation, CDN and other third-party services through APIs.
• Drive code quality, test automation, CI/CD, deployments, performance tuning, upgrades, technical debt management and production support.
• Coach developers and contribute to Scrum, SAFe, PI Planning, estimation, backlog refinement, technical reporting and cross-team dependency management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Java/JEE development experience, including 3+ years with CoreMedia Content Cloud, CMS, Studio, CAE, Headless Server or Blueprint.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring or Spring Boot, Maven, Freemarker/JSP templating and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs, headless or hybrid CMS architectures, and integrations with e-commerce, PIM, DAM and search platforms.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Lead Developer, including technical decisions, architecture, code reviews and mentoring.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, a cloud provider, performance, caching, security, SEO and accessibility.
• Fluent English at C2 level and the ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders and clients in onsite and distributed setups.

Nice to have

• Experience with luxury, retail or large multi-brand, multi-site and multi-language platforms.
• CoreMedia certification or experience with major CoreMedia upgrades and migrations.
• Knowledge of SAP Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools or other e-commerce platforms.
• React, Next, Node, observability, performance testing, Miro or equivalent collaboration tools.
• French, consulting experience and participation in large-scale Agile or SAFe organisations.
