Senior Software Engineer (Fulfillment Core)

Location: Dortmund, Germany. Hybrid work model with up to 60% remote work; working from abroad is possible for up to 30 working days per year. Relocation assistance is available subject to prior agreement.

What you will do

• Develop and operate backend products and services for the Inventory domain within Fulfillment Core.
• Build centralized inventory capabilities, including integrations with Third Party Logistics Providers.
• Contribute to projects that improve how inventory is managed across hirify.global’s fulfillment platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to define scalable solutions, product strategy, roadmaps, and backlogs.
• Manage product development from discovery through execution and help establish team processes.
• Support an inclusive and diverse team environment.

Requirements

• Professional experience developing software with Java or a Java-based language such as Kotlin.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience maintaining and operating complex systems at scale using monitoring and alerting best practices.
• Ability to use AI coding tools to improve individual and team productivity.
• Ability to mentor less experienced engineers and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Effective collaboration in cross-functional engineering and business teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PHP.
• Curiosity about improving the accuracy and efficiency of simulations and proposing new research initiatives.
