Workday Analyst (Workday Payroll)

Location: Hybrid work with onsite and remote responsibilities; based in Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC, Lafayette, LA, or Birmingham, AL

What you will do

• Support payroll processing, reporting, and data analysis in a large enterprise environment.
• Administer Workday Payroll, resolve issues, and validate system configurations.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Technology teams, and external vendors.
• Support audits, compliance activities, internal controls, and issue remediation.
• Manage biweekly, off-cycle, and year-end payroll activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting payroll operations, HRIS systems, or Workday Payroll environments.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and/or Workday Time Tracking.
• Strong understanding of payroll operations, controls, and compliance processes.
• Experience producing payroll reports, employee compensation extracts, and audit data.
• Ability to troubleshoot payroll and time-tracking issues in an HRIS environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, payroll data analysis, communication, and managing multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, and issue remediation.
• Experience in a large enterprise or highly regulated environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
