Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday)

Location: Mountain View, US; in-office work 2 days per week if based in or near Mountain View, CA. Remote candidates are accepted in PT or CT time zones.

Base salary: $184,000–$226,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end Workday Payroll configuration, including pay groups, hirify.globalgs, deductions, payroll-impacting business processes, and accurate pay processing.
• Configure and optimize Core HCM, security frameworks, Time and Absence, and related Workday functional areas.
• Design scalable workflows, system controls, integrations, and governance across the employee lifecycle and broader enterprise ecosystem.
• Drive enhancements, releases, feature adoption, documentation, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
• Build advanced Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and workforce insights for People and Finance.
• Partner with People Operations, Accounting, Payroll, Total Rewards, Finance, and IT on requirements, testing, deployments, and workforce planning.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll configuration and administration experience.
• 5+ years of HRIS experience with deep Workday expertise.
• Strong Workday Payroll and Core HCM configuration experience, including Business Process Framework, Security, and Advanced Reporting with calculated fields.
• Experience translating cross-functional business needs into requirements, implementations, system solutions, and structured documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical, and lhirify.globalg skills.
• Experience with testing strategy, UAT, data integrity, and stakeholder collaboration across People, Accounting, Payroll, Finance, and IT.

Nice to have

• Experience with Advanced Compensation, Time and Absence, Talent/Performance modules, or Workday Extend.
• Experience in global or matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Experience designing workflows across recruiting, onboarding, career development, and offboarding.
