Network Engineer

Location: Lebanon, Ohio, United States; hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home. Work takes place in offices, data centers, network closets, and manufacturing environments, with occasional travel to company locations and after-hours or on-call support.

Salary: $107,000 annual compensation.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot wired, wireless, remote-access, and internet connectivity across multiple locations.
• Configure and support enterprise routing, switching, network security, access control, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Monitor network availability, performance, capacity, and security while investigating issues and documenting root causes.
• Plan, test, implement, validate, and hand off network changes and site projects.
• Support corporate, manufacturing, and operational technology connectivity in accordance with segmentation, cybersecurity, and change-control requirements.
• Maintain documentation, assist with vulnerability remediation and incident response, automate routine administration, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, business teams, and vendors.

Requirements

• Three or more years of network administration or engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent education, training, certifications, and experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networking, and enterprise network security.
• Experience troubleshooting with monitoring, logging, packet analysis, and diagnostic tools.
• Working knowledge of authentication, access control, secure remote connectivity, virtualization, cloud networking, cybersecurity, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to document technical information and communicate with technical and nontechnical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting business-critical technology in multi-site or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, or similar platforms.
• Basic scripting or network automation experience.
• Current networking, security, or cloud certifications.
