What you will do

• Configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure.
• Support Cisco routers and switches, load balancers, firewalls, SSL appliances, and remote-access technologies.
• Maintain site-to-site and client VPN connectivity while supporting network security, intrusion detection, vulnerability remediation, and audit activities.
• Analyze network performance, diagnose connectivity issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Document network diagrams, operating procedures, configurations, and technical reports.
• Support upgrades, maintenance windows, incident and change management, disaster recovery, and continuity-of-operations activities.

Requirements

• Full-time after-hours support is required: one weekend shift out of three covering day, swing, or night hours, plus three weekday swing or night shifts out of two scheduling rotations.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, routing, switching, network troubleshooting, Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, ACLs, VPN tunnels, and network security controls.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, wireless networking, incident management, and change management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer-service skills.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with federal government IT environments, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, FortiGate, NIST, STIG, and federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud networking, load balancers, SSL offloading, and network monitoring tools.
• Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening.
