Infrastructure Engineer (Windows/Citrix)

Location: Luton, United Kingdom; on site 5 days per week. Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual security requirements, including residency and possible nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and improve virtual desktop environments using Citrix and VMware.
• Manage Windows Server infrastructure, with some exposure to Linux environments.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and platform maintenance.
• Administer Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity backup and recovery solutions, plus Shavlik server patching.
• Maintain licensing, enterprise printing, and related infrastructure services, including basic network switch configuration.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, implement permanent improvements, and contribute to infrastructure projects through controlled change processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
• Experience administering virtual desktop environments with Citrix and VMware.
• Knowledge of infrastructure patching, upgrades, backup technologies, and ongoing platform maintenance.
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup and/or Cohesity, and familiarity with Shavlik or similar patching solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise licensing and printing services, plus basic network switch configuration.
• Understanding of ITIL change management, strong troubleshooting skills, prioritisation ability, and effective communication with technical teams and customers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux infrastructure.
