EQS Manager

What you will do

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHSQ management systems across regional operations and field service sites.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments against Australian legislation, hirify.global standards, and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive actions to reduce operational risk.
• Partner with project managers and field service teams on site safety plans, environmental assessments, quality controls, permits, training, and protective measures.
• Monitor subcontractor EHSQ performance and provide guidance to customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver EHSQ training, safety briefings, performance reporting, and initiatives supporting a proactive zero-harm culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of EHSQ management experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or heavy industrial services.
• Experience managing compliance and safety across complex field service and customer-facing project environments in Australia.
• Professional certification as a Certified OHS Professional or equivalent, plus Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• ICAM Incident Investigation Lead Certification and strong knowledge of Australian EHS regulations, risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
• Strong stakeholder management, change management, communication, analytical, collaboration, and training delivery skills.
