Principal Environmental Consultant

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; projects primarily support NSW, with flexible work arrangements including work from home.

What you will do

• Provide environmental insights, guidance, and technical leadership for water, rail, aerospace, and road projects.
• Develop environmental solutions in collaboration with internal and external professionals.
• Maintain client relationships and manage stakeholders and regulatory authority engagement.
• Identify opportunities and contribute to proposals, budgets, and project plans.
• Advance sustainability initiatives across infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Environmental engineering, science, or planning background.
• Thorough understanding of NSW and Commonwealth planning legislation and NSW Government agency requirements.
• Experience preparing reviews of environmental factors and SSI and/or SSD environmental impact statements.
• Experience with social impact assessment and qualifications under NSW legislation.
• Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner under NSW legislation.
• Experience managing environmental compliance, construction compliance, specialist subconsultants, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
