Assistant Cost Manager (Cost Management/Quantity Surveying)

What you will do

• Attend key meetings and design reviews, monitor progress, and communicate project impacts to partners.
• Participate in site walks with the general contractor, Cost Manager, and client project manager.
• Assess progress and identify potential cost impacts.
• Prepare detailed estimates, ad hoc cost reports, and analyses by consolidating project data.
• Maintain accurate project change management logs and support complex client tasks.
• Monitor financial close-out, including vendor settlements.

Requirements

• Degree or comparable experience in project management or construction.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management across varied projects.
• Chartered status or progress toward completing a chartered qualification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with teams and clients.
