Autonomous Robotics Launch Engineer

Location: Allen Park, Michigan, United States; hybrid with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. Travel within North America may reach 50%.

Base salary: $85,400–$143,200 for salary grade 6; $99,600–$166,600 for grade 7; or $115,000–$192,900 for grade 8.

What you will do

• Lead onsite evaluation teams including launch specialists, controls engineers, IT integration specialists, and layout engineers.
• Assess manufacturing facilities for Autonomous Mobile Robot deployment readiness.
• Analyze material-handling flows and map current processes for AMR applications.
• Lead AMR launches in collaboration with OEMs and plant personnel.
• Document facility findings and evaluate the feasibility of automation solutions.
• Support launches across North American facilities while managing schedule and budget expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, robotics, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, or warehousing facilities, including material-handling processes or IT systems.
• Direct experience with robotics, Autonomous Mobile Robots, or other automation technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with industrial engineering, manufacturing planning and logistics, plant IT, operators, and supervisors.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Three to five years of direct experience with robotics or Autonomous Mobile Robots.
