Senior/Staff Manufacturing Engineer (AI Robotics)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; full-time U.S. position with domestic and international travel as needed.

Salary: $145,000–$235,000 USD plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Provide manufacturability, assembly, testing, and tooling input from concept through full production using DFM/DFA principles.
• Define assembly sequences, work instructions, tooling requirements, process parameters, and quality controls.
• Lead manufacturing readiness for product launches, upgrades, and component changes, including cost, resource, and schedule coordination.
• Support suppliers and external integrators through equipment specification, validation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
• Investigate manufacturing defects and process failures, implement corrective actions, and improve yield, cycle time, and cost.
• Assess engineering changes, update process documentation and tooling, and track risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hardware manufacturing and production experience in fast-paced environments; prototype development, production line design, or robotics experience is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in mechanical assembly, electrical integration, sealing, torque tools, testing, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Experience with 3D and 2D CAD, GD&T, SPC, data-driven root cause analysis, and process improvement.
• Strong English communication skills, independent execution, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work in Milpitas, California, travel domestically and internationally, and work flexible schedules as required.
